Petricola Jumping Spider
Adelphia petricola

Adults are small salticid spiders associated with rocky surfaces, crevices, and sunlit ground or vegetation near stone. They are active visual hunters, creeping toward insects and other tiny arthropods before leaping to seize them. Instead of building a prey-catching web, they rely on eyesight, agility, silk safety lines, and venomous fangs. A notable feature is the large forward-facing eye pair, which gives jumping spiders excellent depth perception for precise jumps.
