Fujian Frog
Limnonectes fujianensis
The adult Fujian Frog is a stream-associated fanged frog found in moist forest habitats of southeastern China. It waits near water, snapping up insects, worms, and other small invertebrates that pass within reach. Adults are stronger-jawed than juveniles, and males of Limnonectes frogs often use robust heads and odontoid jaw projections in close competition. Breeding is tied to clean, humid waterside sites where eggs and tadpoles can develop safely.
