Cane Toad
Rhinella marina

Adult cane toads are mostly nocturnal and thrive in warm habitats ranging from forests and wetlands to farms, gardens, and towns. They sit and wait for insects, spiders, small reptiles, amphibians, and even small mammals, striking with a wide mouth at close range. Large parotoid glands behind the eyes secrete potent toxins, a major reason this species is dangerous to predators and highly invasive outside its native range.
