Marsh Meadow Grasshopper
Pseudochorthippus curtipennis

The adult inhabits wet meadows, marshy grasslands, and open grassy margins where grasses and sedges are abundant. It feeds mainly on living grass blades and moves through vegetation with quick jumps and short flights. Males produce a dry, rasping song by rubbing the hind legs against the forewings. This species is often associated with moist habitats and is less likely to thrive in dry, heavily disturbed grassland.
