Drain Fly
Clogmia albipunctata

Drain flies are tiny, fuzzy-winged flies often found resting on bathroom walls, sink basins, floor drains, and other damp places with organic film. Adults make short, moth-like flights when disturbed and usually stay close to the wet sites where their larvae develop. They sip moisture or small amounts of sugary liquid, while the larvae feed on bacteria and decaying matter in drain slime. Their presence indoors is a useful clue that a hidden drain or pipe has a buildup of wet organic material.
