Pale Green Weevil
Polydrusus impressifrons

This small leaf weevil is commonly found on trees, shrubs, and garden plants where adults feed by chewing notches in foliage. Its pale green, scaly covering helps it blend with fresh leaves while the hard beetle exoskeleton provides protection from many small attackers. Larvae live in the soil and feed on roots, but the visible adult is a slow-moving climber that may drop from vegetation when disturbed. Like other weevils, it has a short snout and compact body adapted for plant feeding rather than active predation.
