Four-humped Stink Bug Nymph
Brochymena quadripustulata (nymph)

Wingless nymphs live on trunks, branches, and foliage, where their mottled bodies blend with bark and leaf litter. They feed by inserting a slender beak into plant tissue and sucking sap, with occasional probing of other soft food sources. When disturbed, small scent-gland openings release a sharp defensive odor. Each molt makes the body more shield-like before adult wings develop.
