Great White Pelican
Pelecanus onocrotalus

The Great White Pelican is a large waterbird of lakes, deltas, lagoons, and slow rivers across parts of Africa, Europe, and Asia. It feeds mainly on fish, dipping its expandable throat pouch into the water to scoop prey near the surface. Adults are strong fliers and often travel long distances between feeding and breeding sites. One notable fact is that the bill pouch can hold far more than the stomach, making it a temporary net rather than a storage bag.
