Cabbage Maggot Larva
Delia radicum (larva)

A small, legless white maggot that lives in the soil around cabbage and other brassica roots. It feeds by scraping and tunnelling into root tissue, often hidden just below the surface. The larva is soft-bodied and slow, relying on the surrounding soil for protection. A notable feature is its ability to cause serious plant damage despite being only a few millimetres long.
