Fall Armyworm Larva
Spodoptera frugiperda (larva)

A striped caterpillar found in warm croplands, grasslands, and disturbed fields, often hiding in corn whorls or among leaf litter by day. It feeds by chewing leaves and tender shoots, and heavy feeding can leave ragged holes or skeletonized plants. When disturbed, it may curl, drop from the plant, or rely on camouflage against soil and vegetation. One notable mark is the pale inverted Y on the head capsule of older larvae.
