Greater Rhea
Rhea americana

Adult greater rheas live in grasslands, savannas, and open shrublands across eastern and central South America. They are flightless birds that run at high speed, using long legs for escape and forceful kicks for defense. Their diet is omnivorous, including leaves, seeds, fruits, insects, and small vertebrates. Despite having large wings, they cannot fly, but they spread them while running to help balance and turn sharply.
