Mealybug Destroyer
Cryptolaemus montrouzieri
The adult is a small ladybird beetle found on shrubs, citrus, ornamentals, and greenhouse crops wherever mealybugs are abundant. It flies between infested plants, hunts mealybugs and scale insects, and lays eggs near prey colonies. Native to Australia, it has been released widely as a biological control insect because both adults and larvae are effective predators.
