Ichneumon wasp
Woldstedtius flavolineatus

This small parasitoid wasp is found around vegetation where it searches for concealed insect hosts, especially larvae in stems or leaf litter. Adults feed mainly on nectar and other sugary fluids, while females use their slender ovipositor to place eggs on or inside a host for the developing young. Its long antennae constantly tap and sample surfaces, helping locate hidden prey by scent and vibration. Despite its wasp-like look, this kind of ichneumon is not a social stinging wasp and is far more focused on host-finding than open fighting.
