Leopard Cat
Prionailurus bengalensis

The leopard cat is a small wild cat of forests, scrub, farmland edges, and wetlands across much of Asia. It is mostly nocturnal and hunts by quiet stalking and sudden pounces, taking rodents, birds, lizards, frogs, insects, and fish when available. Its spotted coat breaks up its outline in leaf litter and grass, making ambush a key part of its survival. Unlike many small cats, it is a capable climber and may also swim when crossing water or pursuing prey.
