Zoropsid spider
Zoropsis spinimana

The adult zoropsid spider is a nocturnal wandering hunter found in Mediterranean habitats, gardens, stone walls, and increasingly inside buildings across parts of Europe. It does not spin an orb web to catch prey, instead stalking insects and other small arthropods before seizing them with venomous fangs. Its broad, patterned body and long legs make it resemble a wolf spider, but its eye arrangement and cribellate silk place it in a different family. Females are known to guard their egg sacs, a notable parental behavior for a solitary spider.
