Pantropical Jumper
Plexippus paykulli

The adult pantropical jumper is a widespread jumping spider often found on walls, fences, tree trunks, and around human buildings in warm regions. It actively stalks flies, mosquitoes, moths, and other small arthropods, then leaps onto prey and subdues it with venomous fangs. Adults do not build capture webs, but they spin silk safety lines and resting retreats. Males are especially recognizable for their bold black-and-white patterning and courtship displays.
