Heavy Jumper
Hyllus diardi

The adult Heavy Jumper is a large jumping spider of South and Southeast Asian forests, gardens, shrubs, and building edges. It actively stalks flies, moths, and other small arthropods, judging distance with its large forward-facing eyes before leaping onto prey. Like other jumping spiders, it uses silk as a safety line rather than a prey-catching web. Its notable bulk for a salticid gives it a powerful pounce while still keeping the quick reflexes that make jumping spiders such precise hunters.
