Adanson's House Jumper
Hasarius adansoni
This compact jumping spider is common around houses, walls, gardens, and windows in warm regions worldwide. It hunts flies, mosquitoes, and other small arthropods by stalking them visually before making a sudden leap. Adults do not build prey-catching webs, but they use silk for draglines, retreats, and egg sacs. Its large forward-facing eyes give it excellent depth perception for precise jumps.
