Arcuate-Jumping Spider
Evarcha arcuata

Adults are small jumping spiders of damp grassland, meadow edges, and low vegetation across much of Europe and temperate Asia. They actively stalk flies, midges, and other small arthropods, judging distance with excellent vision before springing onto prey. Instead of using a snare web, they rely on quick reflexes, venomous fangs, and a safety line of silk while moving through plants. Males are known for visual courtship displays, using leg and body movements to signal at close range.
