Leek-green Flower Spider
Tharrhalea prasina
Adults live on flowers, leaves, and shrubs, especially where pollinating insects are likely to land. They are ambush predators, sitting still with their front legs spread and grabbing flies, bees, and other small arthropods that come close. Their leek-green coloration provides strong camouflage among vegetation. Like other crab spiders, they can move sideways with ease and use venomous fangs to subdue prey after the grab.
