Tufted Puffin
Fratercula cirrhata

An adult seabird of the North Pacific, nesting in island burrows and spending much of the year on cold ocean waters. It dives from the surface and swims underwater with its wings to catch fish, squid, and crustaceans. During the breeding season it shows long golden head plumes and a tall orange bill used in display and close-range disputes. A notable fact is that it can carry several small fish crosswise in its bill at once.
