Red Devil
Amphilophus labiatus
Adult Red Devils are large, aggressive cichlids native to freshwater lakes such as Lake Managua and Lake Nicaragua. They defend rocky territories fiercely, using rushes, bites, and body rams against intruders. Their diet is omnivorous, including small animals, insects, crustaceans, plant material, and detritus. The thick lips and powerful jaws are notable features, and pairs are known for dedicated parental care.
