Amazon Dart Frog
Ranitomeya amazonica

The adult is a miniature rainforest frog found in the western Amazon, often around wet leaves and plant-held water where it can breed. It eats tiny invertebrates, especially ants and mites that help supply the alkaloids used in its toxic skin secretions. Its vivid orange, black, and blue pattern is a warning signal, and males call from sheltered perches to defend sites and attract mates.
