Wreathed Hornbill
Rhyticeros undulatus

The adult Wreathed Hornbill is a large forest hornbill of South and Southeast Asian hill and lowland forests, often moving high through the canopy in search of fruiting trees. It eats mostly figs and other fruits, but also takes insects, lizards, and other small animals when available. Strong wingbeats, loud carrying calls, and a heavy bill help it travel and feed across large forest territories. A notable breeding habit is the female sealing herself inside a tree cavity while the male delivers food through a slit.
