Eyelash Viper Neonate
Bothriechis schlegelii (neonate)

A newly born eyelash viper lives independently in humid forest edges, low shrubs, and dense vegetation soon after birth. It ambushes tiny frogs, lizards, and other small vertebrates, relying on stillness and a quick venomous bite rather than pursuit. Neonates are already venomous and often use bright tail-wiggling movements to lure small prey within striking distance.
