Albert's Lyrebird
Menura alberti

The adult lives in a restricted range of subtropical rainforest and wet eucalypt gullies around the Border Ranges of eastern Australia. It forages mostly on the ground, raking leaf litter with powerful legs to uncover insects, spiders, worms, and other small animals. Adults are secretive runners more than strong fliers, vanishing into dense understorey when alarmed. Males are famous for rich songs and mimicry during display, making this one of Australia's most remarkable vocal birds.
