Caddisfly
Limnephilus atlanticus

The adult is a small, moth-like insect found near freshwater, especially among bankside grasses, reeds, and waterside shrubs. It is mostly active at dusk or night, flying to find mates and often resting with hairy wings held roof-like over the body. Adults feed little, though some may sip moisture or sugary fluids, because reproduction is their main task. Unlike the aquatic young, this stage is defined by short-lived flight above the water where the next generation will be laid.
