Eastern Dwarf Tree Frog
Drymomantis fallax

A tiny tree frog of eastern Australia, usually found among reeds, sedges, shrubs, and garden plants near ponds, swamps, and slow waterways. It feeds on small insects and other tiny invertebrates, catching them with quick snaps of its sticky tongue. Males give a high, repetitive call during warm wet weather, often calling from low vegetation around breeding sites. Despite its small size, it is an agile climber with adhesive toe pads and a bright side stripe that helps identify it.
