Pink Porcelain Roach
Gyna capucina
The adult Pink Porcelain Roach lives among humid tropical leaf litter, bark, and low vegetation. It scavenges mostly on dead leaves, fallen fruit, fungi, and other soft organic material during the night. With fully developed wings it can make short flights, but it more often relies on quick running and slipping under cover. Its glossy porcelain-pink patterning and flattened exoskeleton help break up its outline against mottled bark and pale leaf litter.
