Furniture Beetle
Anobium punctatum
The adult is a tiny brown beetle found around old timber, furniture, and wooden buildings after emerging from its tunnel. It mainly searches for mates and egg-laying sites, and it may fly in warm conditions to reach new wood. Adults feed little if at all, and their neat round exit holes with fine wood dust are often the first visible sign of an infestation.
