Greater Kudu
Strepsiceros strepsiceros

Adult greater kudus live in eastern and southern African savannas, dry woodlands, and thickets, browsing on leaves, shoots, fruits, and seed pods. They are cautious, high-jumping antelope that often freeze in cover before bounding away with powerful leaps. Mature males carry long spiral horns used in contests, display, and defense, while females are hornless and typically live with young in small groups. A notable trait is their ability to clear tall obstacles despite their large size.
