Common bluestripe snapper
Lutjanus kasmira

The adult common bluestripe snapper lives around coral reefs and rocky coastal habitats across the Indo-Pacific. It is an active predatory fish, feeding mainly on small fishes and crustaceans with quick lunges and firm bites. Adults often shelter around reef structure by day and forage more actively in dimmer light. Its bright yellow body crossed by narrow blue stripes makes it one of the most recognizable reef snappers.
