Galapagos Penguin
Spheniscus mendiculus

The adult Galapagos penguin lives along cool, current-fed lava shores, especially in the western Galapagos Islands. It hunts anchovies, sardines, mullet, and other small fish by swift underwater pursuit using its flipper-like wings. This is the only penguin species naturally found in the tropics, and some individuals range just north of the equator.
