Capybara
Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris

The adult capybara is a large semi-aquatic rodent of South American marshes, flooded grasslands, and riverbanks. It grazes mainly on grasses and aquatic vegetation, resting near water and slipping in quickly when threatened. Webbed feet aid swimming, and an adult can remain submerged for several minutes with only its nostrils exposed.
