Yellow-lipped Sea Krait
Laticauda colubrina

Adult yellow-lipped sea kraits live around coral reefs, rocky coasts, mangroves, and island shorelines across the tropical Indo-Pacific. They hunt by probing reef crevices for small eels and fish, using a paddle-like tail for efficient swimming. Unlike many sea snakes, they regularly return to land to rest, digest, shed, and lay eggs. Their venom is highly potent, but they are generally calm and avoid biting unless handled or threatened.
