Asian Weaver Ant Pupa
Oecophylla smaragdina (pupa)

The pupa rests inside the woven leaf nest while its adult body forms beneath the pupal skin. It does not feed or actively hunt, surviving on stored energy from the larval stage. In this stage it is mostly motionless and protected by the nest and its developing outer covering. Unlike many ants, weaver ant pupae are typically naked rather than enclosed in a thick cocoon.
