Gray Treefrog
Dryophytes versicolor

Gray Treefrogs live in moist woodlands, forest edges, and backyards, usually clinging to tree trunks and branches near breeding pools. They are nocturnal ambush hunters that eat moths, flies, beetles, and other small invertebrates caught with a quick sticky tongue. Their mottled skin changes from gray to greenish tones, helping them disappear against bark and leaves. Males are known for a loud musical trill given from trees or vegetation near water in spring and summer.
