Common Australian Lady Beetle
Coelophora inaequalis

Adult Common Australian Lady Beetles occur in gardens, woodland, farmland, and other vegetation-rich habitats across much of Australia. They hunt aphids, scale insects, and other small sap-feeding pests on leaves and stems, and readily fly between plants in search of prey. Their bright, variable spotted coloration warns predators, while defensive chemicals released from the legs can make them unpalatable.
