Lamprey
Petromyzon marinus

Adult sea lampreys inhabit lakes, coastal waters, and rivers, returning to freshwater to spawn. They fasten their circular, tooth-lined mouths onto fishes and rasp through skin while feeding. After building nests and spawning in gravel-bottomed streams, adults die soon afterward.
