False Stable Fly
Muscina stabulans
Adult False Stable Flies occur around farms, refuse, woodland edges, and places with decaying animal or plant material. They fly readily between food sources and feed on liquids from nectar, waste, and decomposing matter. Despite its name and stable-fly-like appearance, this species does not bite people for blood.
