Blue-banded Bee Larva
Amegilla cingulata (larva)

The larva develops alone inside an underground nest cell, usually in clay soil or a soft sandstone bank. It feeds on the stored mixture of pollen and nectar left by its mother before the egg hatched. This pale, grub-like stage has no wings and remains protected within its sealed cell as it grows.
