Lusitanian False Blister Beetle
Exosoma lusitanicum

Adults occur on low plants and in open, warm vegetation across the Iberian region. They feed on foliage and use their mandibles to clip soft plant material. The hardened wing covers protect the folded flight wings beneath, allowing the beetle to fly when disturbed or searching for plants.
