Cabbage Stem Flea Beetle
Psylliodes chrysocephalus

This small, metallic blue-green beetle occurs in farmland, field margins, and gardens where brassicas grow. Adults feed by chewing small pits into cotyledons, leaves, and stems of cabbage-family plants. When threatened, they launch themselves away with enlarged hind legs and can also fly to new host plants. They are notable pests of young oilseed rape seedlings.
