Horned Turban
Turbo cornutus

Adult horned turbans inhabit rocky coastal reefs and intertidal areas, where they slowly graze algae from stone. A thick, spiny shell and hard operculum provide strong protection from predators and waves. Despite its name, the shell horns are defensive projections rather than true horns.
