Rufous-bellied Thrush
Turdus rufiventris

The adult Rufous-bellied Thrush inhabits forest edges, gardens, parks, and wooded urban areas across much of South America. It forages on the ground and in fruiting trees, eating insects, worms, berries, and other small fruits. It is an alert, agile flier that often pauses upright before hopping through leaf litter. The species is Brazil's national bird and is especially well known for its rich, repeated song.
