Brown Drake
Ephemera simulans

Adult Brown Drakes inhabit river corridors and nearby woodland, flying chiefly during warm evening conditions. Adults have reduced mouthparts and survive on reserves gathered during their aquatic nymph stage rather than feeding. Their final adult life is short, devoted to flight, mating, and laying eggs back into flowing water.
