Longlegged Ant
Anoplolepis gracilipes
Yellow crazy ants live in large colonies across warm tropical habitats, including forests, gardens, farms, and human settlements. Workers race over vegetation and the ground to scavenge insects, nectar, honeydew, and other sugary foods. When threatened, an individual can bite and spray formic acid from its abdomen as a chemical defense.
