Brown Stink Bug
Euschistus heros
Adult brown stink bugs occur in fields, gardens, and woodland edges, especially where legumes and other seed-bearing plants grow. They use a long piercing beak to drink sap and fluids from pods, seeds, fruits, and stems. Adults can fly between host plants and overwinter in sheltered sites. Their strong-smelling defensive chemicals help deter predators when handled or attacked.
