Aardvark
Orycteropus afer

Aardvarks roam sub-Saharan African savannas, grasslands, and open woodland, emerging mainly after dark. They use powerful front claws to break into termite mounds and ant nests, then lap up insects with a long sticky tongue. Their extensive burrows provide shelter for many other animals after the aardvark moves on.
