Kidney-spot Ladybird
Chilocorus renipustulatus

The adult kidney-spot ladybird inhabits woodland, orchards, hedgerows, and gardens, especially where scale insects occur on trees and shrubs. It walks over bark and foliage to hunt armored scales and aphids with its biting jaws. Its glossy black wing cases bear two red kidney-shaped spots, and it can release defensive chemicals when threatened.
